In one town, there existed a feared idol named Egule, worshipped in the Isowo area.

The idol sat on a pot, guarded by a huge python on a bushy hill.
But when Apostle Babalola arrived, he declared that the name of Jesus is above every name and insisted on visiting the hill.
The people pleaded with him not to go — yet he went, armed only with his bell and staff of authority.
As he approached, he rang the bell and prayed boldly. Suddenly:

The people chased and killed the serpent, and from that day forward, idol worship ceased in that community.
